The Royal Kingdom of Thailand has passed down the Computer Crime Act (B.E 2550) in 2007 to outlaw Circumstances such that if any person commits an act that brings down the computer or network system in a manner that the law deemed to be morally inappropriate or that causes a working error. An act that damages and affect the country's economy, society and security including people's peace and good morals.
The Computer Crime Act was a result of 9 years of research, initial draft and the final approval of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), appointed by the Council for National Security (CNS).
Since its passage, the law has had tremendous impact on the way organizations and their auditors approach security and compliance management. As a result every individual is held accountable for his/her actions when using the IT systems within his environment.
